Practice with Home, Inc. Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2026

Practice with Home, Inc. ("Home," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to being transparent about how we handle your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have when using our website (www.practicewithhome.com) and our mobile application (the "App").

If you have any questions, you can reach us at hello@practicewithhome.com.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide and improve our personalized meditation services.

a. Information You Provide

  • Name (when provided during onboarding or profile setup)

  • Email address (when you join the waitlist or create an account)

  • Onboarding preferences (reasons for using the app, meditation experience level, preferred session duration, voice preference)

  • Chat messages (text you enter in conversations with our AI - processed in real time to generate personalized content but not stored after your session ends)

  • User inputs (written reflections, session preferences, and meditation inputs or prompts entered in the App)

  • Session feedback (optional ratings, feelings, or comments about meditation sessions)

b. Information We Derive from Your Use

  • Extracted personal facts: Our AI analyzes your conversations to identify and store specific personal details you share (for example, "Has a dog named Otto" or "Works as a founder"). These facts are used to personalize future conversations and meditations. We store up to 150 extracted facts per user. Facts are classified as permanent (core personal details like names, relationships, occupation) or temporary (situational context like "stressed about a meeting this week"). Older temporary facts are removed first when the limit is reached.

  • Session data: Summaries, themes, and your post-session feelings from your most recent 50 meditation sessions.

  • Behavioral patterns: Meditation frequency, preferred times of day, techniques that work well for you, recurring themes across sessions, and total session count.

  • Guidance calibration: A personalized score derived from your experience level that influences how much spoken guidance versus silence you receive in meditation

c. Information Collected Automatically

  • Device data (operating system, app version, device type)

  • Usage patterns (screen views, feature interactions, meditation playback events, message character counts — see Section 5 for details)

  • Crash and diagnostic data (app state and log messages at the time of errors or crashes)

d. Information We Do Not Collect

  • Payment or billing information (handled entirely by Apple)

  • Location data (we do not request GPS or device location access; however, our analytics providers may derive approximate geographic information such as city or region from your IP address)

  • Health data (we do not use Apple HealthKit)

  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA)

  • Contacts, photos, or other on-device data

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Generate personalized meditation content tailored to your current emotional state, preferences, and conversation context

  • Maintain a persistent memory profile so our AI can remember details you have shared and provide continuity across sessions

  • Extract and store relevant personal facts from your conversations to improve personalization over time

  • Provide AI-generated meditation sessions based on your inputs and preferences

  • Operate and improve the App and website functionality

  • Generate text-to-speech audio for guided meditation playback

  • Analyze product usage patterns to improve features and user experience

  • Diagnose technical issues and crashes

  • Manage subscriptions and verify purchase eligibility

  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries

  • Communicate with you about account-related matters or important product updates

  • Ensure compliance with legal obligations and safety requirements

We do not use your personal data for advertising, behavioral profiling unrelated to meditation personalization, or sale to third parties.

3. Data Retention and Memory

Current Data Practices

a. Persistent Data Storage

We store your data using Google Firebase and Firestore, a cloud database service. The following data is stored persistently and associated with your account:

  • Your user profile (name, email, authentication credentials)

  • Your memory profile (onboarding preferences, extracted facts, session history, behavioral patterns, and personalization settings)

  • Meditation records (titles, summaries, scripts, and audio files for saved meditations)

  • Session context

b. Retention Periods

  • User profile and memory data: Retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.

  • Extracted facts: Up to 150 facts retained per user, with older temporary facts pruned automatically. Permanent facts are retained until you request deletion.

  • Session history: Retained only for sessions you choose to save. Unsaved sessions are not stored.

  • Meditation audio: Only retained for meditations you explicitly choose to save. Unsaved meditation audio is discarded after the session ends.

  • Crash logs and diagnostic data: Retained by our service providers per their standard retention policies (typically 90 days).

  • Analytics data: Retained by our analytics provider per their standard retention policies.

c. Data deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App's account settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your user profile, memory data, extracted facts, session history, saved meditations, and feedback from our systems. Data that has already been processed by third-party AI providers is subject to those providers' data retention and deletion policies (see Section 4).

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to deliver parts of our service. These providers process your data only as needed to perform their functions and are contractually required to protect your information.

a. AI processing

  • Anthropic (Claude): Our primary AI provider. Powers conversational chat, meditation script generation, and personal fact extraction. When you use the App, your chat messages, conversation history, and memory context (including extracted facts, session history, and preferences) are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Per Anthropic's usage policy, data submitted through their API is not used to train their models.

  • Open AI: Used as an alternative or fallback AI provider. When active, OpenAI receives the same categories of data as Anthropic (chat messages, conversation history, memory context) for chat, meditation generation, content summarization, and feedback analysis. Per OpenAI's API data usage policies, inputs submitted through their API are not used for model training.

Important: We use different AI providers for different functions within the App (for example, one provider may handle conversation while another handles summarization). We select providers based on quality and performance for each task. We may change providers over time and will update this policy accordingly.

b. Voice Synthesis

  • ElevenLabs: Provides text-to-speech voice synthesis for guided meditation audio. Meditation scripts generated by our AI — which may contain content personalized based on your conversations (such as your name or topics you discussed) — are sent to ElevenLabs for audio generation. We have disabled data sharing for model improvement, so your meditation scripts are not retained or used to train ElevenLabs' voice models.

c. Authentication and Data Infrastructure

  • Apple Sign In: Handles user authentication. We receive your name (if you choose to share it) and email address from Apple. We do not receive your Apple ID password.

  • Google Firebase / Firestore: Provides our cloud database, user authentication backend, remote configuration, and crash reporting infrastructure. Your user data, memory profile, meditation records, and feedback are stored in Firestore. Firebase also provides Crashlytics for crash reporting (see Section 5).

d. Subscription Management

  • RevenueCat: Manages subscription billing verification, free trial eligibility, and purchase status. RevenueCat receives your anonymous user identifier, subscription status, product identifiers, and transaction data from Apple's StoreKit. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, conversation content, or meditation data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

e. Payment Processing

  • Apple: Handles all subscription payments through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment card details, billing address, or financial information. All subscription management, billing, and refunds are handled through your Apple ID account.

f. Data Processing Commitment

All third-party providers listed above are authorized to process your data only for the purposes described. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

5. Analytics and Crash Reporting

a. Product Analytics

We use Amplitude to understand how users interact with the App and to improve our product. Amplitude receives:

  • Your user identifier and email address

  • Subscription-related events (purchases, cancellations, trial status)

  • Usage events (screen views, meditation starts, playback events, message sends with character counts, feature interactions)

  • Preference changes (voice selection, settings interactions)

  • Founder membership status

Amplitude does not receive your conversation content, meditation scripts, extracted personal facts, or memory data. Amplitude also automatically derives approximate geographic information (such as city or region) from your IP address. See Amplitude's privacy policy at https://amplitude.com/privacy.

b. Crash Reporting

We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix technical issues. Crashlytics automatically collects:

  • Crash reports and error logs

  • Device type, operating system version, and app version

  • App state and diagnostic log messages at the time of a crash

Crashlytics does not receive your conversation content, meditation data, or personal memory information.

c. No Advertising Tracking

We do not use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or ad networks. We do not share data with advertisers or ad exchanges.

6. Age Restrictions

The App is intended for users age 13 and older. Users between ages 13 and 17 must have parental or guardian consent before creating an account.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided information to us, please contact us immediately at hello@practicewithhome.com and we will promptly delete such information.

Important note for parents of users ages 13-17: The App collects conversational data related to emotional states and wellness (such as stress, anxiety, and sleep concerns) and uses AI to extract and store personal facts from conversations. We encourage parents and guardians to review this Privacy Policy and discuss the App's data practices with their children. Parents and guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their minor child's data by contacting us at hello@practicewithhome.com.

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

  • Data portability: Receive a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

  • Withdraw consent: Withdraw your consent to data processing where applicable.

  • Object: Object to certain types of data processing.

How to Exercise Your Rights

You may delete your account directly through the App's account settings. For all other requests, email hello@practicewithhome.com. We will respond within 30 days and verify your identity before processing requests.

Marketing Communications

You may unsubscribe from marketing communications by following the instructions in our emails. We may still send you non-promotional service communications (security alerts, policy updates, etc.).

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share your information.

  • Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.

  • Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.

  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect (per CCPA categories):

  • Identifiers (name, email, user ID)

  • Internet or electronic network activity (usage data, analytics events, crash logs)

  • Inferences drawn from the above (extracted facts, behavioral patterns, personalization data)

To exercise your California privacy rights, contact us at hello@practicewithhome.com with "California Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will verify your identity before processing your request.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit via HTTPS/TLS protocols

  • Encryption at rest provided by Google Firebase/Firestore

  • Secure API connections (HTTPS) with all third-party providers

  • Access controls limiting who can view your information

  • Authentication via Apple Sign In with cryptographic nonce verification

While no system is 100% secure, we continuously monitor and improve our security measures to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse of your data.

10. International Users and Data Transfers

We are based in the United States. If you are accessing our services from outside the U.S., please be aware that your information may be processed and stored in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Our third-party service providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Google Firebase, Amplitude, RevenueCat) may also process data in the United States or other jurisdictions.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on standard contractual clauses and other lawful transfer mechanisms where required by applicable data protection regulations, including GDPR.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. If we make significant changes that affect how we use your personal information, we will:

  • Notify you through the App, by email, or on our website at least 30 days before changes take effect
